Footnotes
AZ U CHASE ME dropped from the five path to the three path on the first turn, tracked the pace on the outside, made a bid at the seven-sixteenths pole, vied in the three path on the far turn, took the lead outside the quarter-pole, responded well when asked for his best in upper stretch, shook clear under a left-handed crop in the vicinity of the furlong marker and held under strong urging. MUGATU angled from the six path to the rail early on the first turn, settled at the rear, was urged along in the two path for most of the turn, tipped briefly to the three path late on that bend then went back to the two path, found his best stride under a drive in the stretch and finished with good enrgy to get up for the place. BARON OF SEALAND was bumped at the start then forced into another foe, rounded the first turn in the three path, settled towards the front on the outside, was urged along late on the backstretch, chased in the four path on the far turn, kept on willingly in the stretch and just missed the place while clear for the show. SOLO EMPIRE was hustled to the front, moved from the two path to the inside early on the first turn, showed the way down the backstretch, was asked under threat while along the rail on the far turn, lost the advantage to the winner approaching the quarter-pole and tired. LOU bumped with a rival at the start, moved from the three path to the two path early on the first turn, was urged along on the backstretch, raced inside to the two path while under stronger encouragement on the far turn, spun into the stretch in the three path then moved further out and improved to just miss the superfecta. FUNNY UNCLE was urged along while dropping from the four path to the two path on the first turn, settled off the pace, was ridden along in the two path on the far turn, moved out under a left-handed crop in upper stretch and lacked the needed response. FREEDOM TRAIL was away awkwardly but with the body of the field, stayed out in the five path on the first turn, settled well back in the field, was urged along in the three then four path on the far turn, turned into the stretch in the five path and failed to threaten. HOURS IN A DAY was hustled from the gate, raced in the four path on the first turn, settled on the outside, was urged along in the three path on the far turn, came into the stretch in the four path and failed to respond. MASTERWORK broke out and bumped with a foe, raced inside for most of the first turn then shifted to the two path, was well placed just off the pace, dropped back near the nine-sixteenths pole, saved ground under urging on the far turn and capitulated.
