Footnotes
OH stumbled at the start recovering outwards and bumping QUIDDITY in tandem with SAN ANTONIO SARA, who broke inwards, raced three then two wide in closest aim of the leader coming under coaxing near the quarter pole and advancing to take command just outside that station, swung four wide into upper stretch, drew clear under a drive to the eighth pole, dug in under growing late threat getting a bit leg weary and held safe at the finish to prevail. QUIDDITY got bumped between foes who each came her way at the start, chased three then two wide down the backstretch before tucking to the inside near the half mile pole, saved ground through the turn and was placed to coaxing nearing the quarter pole, spun just off the inside at that station and came under a left handed crop and shied out three to four paths bumping SAN ANTONIO SARA and carrying her out straightened away, bobbling when initiating contact with that rival, got on track at the three-sixteenths and closed well through to the finish to threaten inside the sixteenth marker but ultimately ran out of ground while well clear of the rest and along second best. FACTORY SETTING broke out at the start, chased six paths off the inside down the backstretch before tucking three wide into the turn, remained patiently handled until placed to urging with five-sixteenths remaining, tipped four wide into upper stretch, kicked on belatedly to the finish to garner the show honors. SAN ANTONIO SARA broke in at the start bumping QUIDDITY in concert with OH, who recovered outwards from a stumble, chased five paths off the inside down the backstretch and then four wide through most of the turn until tucked briefly three wide with five-sixteenths to go, tipped four wide at the quarter pole, then had QUIDDITY shy out along her inside from a left handed crop and was bumped solidly straightened away and carried out to the seven or eight path, then weakened through to the finish. BACK TO KHALI coaxed from the start, cut the pace along the inside coming under encouragement at the five-sixteenths under challenge from OH to the outside, yielded the front just outside the quarter pole and spun just off the inside into upper stretch, then tired in the drive. ENCANTAR a bit fractious in the gate prior to the start, was briefly six paths off the inside until tucked to the four path with five furlongs to go, came under coaxing four wide at the five-sixteenths, angled six wide at the head of the stretch and tired. AMICUS CURIAE bobbled at the break, chased just off the inside under a ride from the seven-sixteenths, continued in the two path into upper stretch and tired. There was a Stewards' Inquiry into upper stretch focusing on QUIDDITY as well as a claim of foul by the rider of SAN ANTONIO SARA alleging interference against QUIDDITY in upper stretch. After review, it was deemed that QUIDDITY had caused interference to SAN ANTONIO SARA and therefore QUIDDITY was disqualified from second and placed fourth prior to the race being declared official.
