SHATTUCK broke slowly without incident and was sluggish early on despite coaxing from the rider, chased along the inside down the backstretch and then just off the inside through the turn, angled five wide into upper stretch, rallied to close quickly on front taking command just inside the eighth pole, then drew clear to the finish to score. MO FOR THE KING broke out at the start under hustling, showed the way from the two path early on under some pressure from a flanking pair before shaking those rivals off with nine-sixteenths to go, tucked inside into the turn and came under increasing pressure to the outside from a pair of foes, spun two to three wide into upper stretch, dug in under threat to the inside and was overthrown just inside the eighth pole by the aforementioned rival, then kept on to preserve the place honors on the wire. MO GO broke out at the start, chased along the inside coming under a ride at the five-sixteenths, took the inside route into upper stretch, offered up a bid a furlong out, then weakened in the late stages while along for the show honors. THE BOONDOCKER coaxed from the start, chased four then three wide advanced from the three-eighths to stack outside the top pair, came under encouragement from the five-sixteenths, swung four wide into upper stretch, weakened in the late going. BLOWN COVER lunged at the break, chased along the inside coming under urging from the five-sixteenths, continued in the inside route into upper stretch, weakened. ENDURING SPIRIT forwardly placed three wide down the backstretch, advanced on the leader midway on the turn and came under coaxing just off the inside between foes at the five-sixteenths, spun two to three wide for home, tired in the stretch. SWIFT MAGIC coaxed from the gate, chased five then four wide under a ride from the five-sixteenths, tipped six wide into upper stretch, made no impact. SOBIESKI two to three wide in pursuit, came under encouragement three furlongs out, angled four to five wide into upper stretch and faltered.
