Footnotes
JOHNY'S RENDEZVOUS hit the outside of the gate at the start, went to the front, showed the way a bit off the rail, was asked on the far turn, responded well when put to a right-handed crop in upper stretch, swapped back to his inside lead late and held under a hand-ride in the end. A BOURBON FOR TOBY bumped with a foe just after the start, saved ground on the first turn, was reserved off the pace, went around the far turn in the two then three path while roused, swung out to the five path into the stretch, rallied into the final furlong and closed well to get the place. ORGONITE was away awkwardly but with the body of the field, rounded the first turn in the two path, was reserved off the pace, saved ground on the far turn, was asked near the quarter-pole, moved out to the four path around the three-sixteenths pole and finished with good energy to just miss the place while up for the show. DIRAND (IRE) angled in early, saved ground on the first turn, settled off the pace, was roused in the three path on the far turn, chased the leader in the stretch and finished willingly for the last spot in the superfecta. IRON SIGHT was slow into stride and spotted the front a few lengths, settled at the rear while inside to the two path, was roused on the far turn, swung out to the seven path into the stretch, was bumped by a foe near the furlong marker and improved position. LIMO was taken under a snug hold early then reserved in the two path, came under encouragement on the far turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive and lacked the needed kick. DRAGONEER angled in early, rounded the first turn in the three path, settled outside without cover, was roused in the four path on the far turn, spun into the stretch in the six path, remained on his inside lead until the furlong marker, swapped to the proper lead then bumped a rival at that juncture and lacked the needed response. OPERATION OVERLORD was hustled from the gate, showed speed then was taken back off the pace, settled on the inside, was given his cue on the far turn, dropped back under a drive into upper stretch and lacked the needed response while regaining some ground late. MORTAL LOCK was hustled from the gate, raced in the three path on the first turn, was well placed just off the pace, saved ground while asked on the far turn and came up empty. CROMWELL bumped with a rival just after the start, was taken under a tight hold early, saved ground on the first turn, was reserved near the back, moved from the two path to the four path while roused on the far turn, turned into the stretch in the seven path and was no factor. SPUN was taken in hand early while moving in, traveled around the opening bend in the three path, was reserved towards the rear, went around the far turn in the three then four path while asked, spun into the stretch in the six path and failed to threaten. FREE SPIN hit the outside of the gate at the start, raced in the four path on the first turn, was forwardly placed on the outside, chased in the two path on the far turn and faltered then was eased in the final furlong but walked off. FOLLOWING THE RACE, THE RIDER OF DRAGONEER CLAIMED FOUL AGAINST IRON SIGHT ALLEGING INTERFERENCE NEAR THE EIGHTH-POLE. AFTER THE STEWARDS' REVIEW, NO CHANGE WAS MADE TO THE ORDER OF FINISH
