PAY MONTHLY broke out then was hustled, pressed the pace on the outside of the leader, drew even with that foe while in the two to three path on the turn, took the advantage while roused for her best into the stretch, shook clear under a drive outside the furlong marker and drew away under strong urging. QUARTZ MOUNTAIN showed speed then set the pace on the inside of the winner, vied along the rail on the turn, was asked after being headed into the stretch, dropped back into the final furlong, swapped back to her inside lead near the sixteenth-pole and just held the place while no match for the winner. BREAKER was eased back between foes in crowded quarters then settled comfortably off the pace, moved from the two path to the three path while roused on the turn, passed the five-sixteenths pole between horses, gained under a drive into upper stretch, chased outside into the final furlong and flattened out then just missed the place but was clear for the show. ROCKABYE raced just off the pace while outside of a foe, dropped back leaving the backstretch, went around the turn in the two path, turned into upper stretch under a drive, moved out around the sixteenth-pole and lacked the needed response. HORMESIS brushed with BOLT ISLAND at the start then was hustled, raced just off the pace in a good position, dropped back while under some extra left-rein pressure leaving the backstretch, saved ground while roused on the turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive and also lacked the needed response. BOLT ISLAND brushed with HORMESIS at the start and was last to commence, dropped back then angled out while urged along at the rear, went around the turn in the four path, spun into the stretch in the five path and failed to rally.
