STEER CLEAR went to the front, was well rated while setting the pace off the inside, controlled the action in the two path on the turn, responded well when asked at the quarter-pole, extended the advantage in upper stretch and held under a strong hand-ride. AMERICATHEGREAT settled on the outside, was roused while moving from the four path to the five path on the turn, gained while dropping back to the four path into the stretch, pursued the winner while outside in the drive and willingly earned the place.
