BABY YODA tossed his head at the start and was away near the rear of the field, chased just off the inside coming under encouragement at the five-sixteenths, swung four wide into upper stretch, rallied to issue a challenge inside the final furlong and was up in the final seventy yards to prevail. LIGHT THE WAY bobbled at the break, dueled three then two wide with COMEDY TOWN to his inside, got let out spinning three wide into upper stretch, seized sole command a furlong out, dug in under threat and was caught in the final seventy yards to the finish. COMEDY TOWN dueled inside of the aforementioned foe coming under coaxing near the quarter pole, took the inside route into upper stretch, got collared a furlong out and kept on to preserve the show honors. LIGHT MAN buckled at the break, chased seven paths off the inside down the backstretch and then three wide through the turn, came under coaxing three furlongs out, angled five to six wide into upper stretch and weakened in the late stages. DUBYUHNELL broke out at the start, grew detached at the tail of the field and chased five paths off the inside until tucked three wide placed to urging at the nine-sixteenths, angled six to seven wide into upper stretch and passed tired rivals to the finish. EL GRANDE O tossed his head and was in the hands of the assistant starter when the latch was sprung and lunged from the gate conceding six lengths to the front, chased along the inside coming under coaxing from the seven-sixteenths, spun just off the inside into upper stretch and weakened. DISCREET MISCHIEF chased seven to eight paths off the inside down the backstretch, tucked four wide at the half mile pole, came under urging at the seven-sixteenths, angled six wide for home and tired. There was a Stewards' Inquiry into the start focusing on EL GRANDE O. After review, it was determined that EL GRANDE O was not awarded a fair start and was in the hands of the assistant starter, and therefore EL GRANDE O was declared a nonstarter for wagering purposes prior to the race being declared official.
