IMAGINE JOHN coaxed from the gate, chased four wide coming under coaxing near the quarter pole, angled out six wide at that station and then veered in to the four path straightened away just before seizing command at the three-sixteenths, edged away briefly before coming under threat from a pair of foes to the outside, dug in gamely to fend them off getting bumped by HONG KONG PHOOEY steps to the wire. NEIGH BABY broke in at the start bumping HONG KONG PHOOEY, chased two to three wide coming under a ride at the seven-sixteenths, angled out seven wide into upper stretch and offered up a mild kick to secure the place honors in the final jumps. HONG KONG PHOOEY lunged at the break and then got bumped by NEIGH BABY, who broke inwards, chased along the inside and was under a firm hold off heels of WAITIN'ONASUNNYDAY until tipped two to three wide with nine-sixteenths to go, continued two to three wide through the turn coming under coaxing near the quarter pole, swung four wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive, came inwards late and bumped IMAGINE JOHN steps from the finish while outgamed by a pair to the end.
