KIPROS broke in and bumped with WARRIOR AT HEART, jostled with HETCH HETCHY early, saved ground while reserved off the pace, tipped to the two path about midway through the far turn, angled out while asked and bumped with HETCH HETCHY outside the quarter-pole, lost some momentum in the process, was roused in the three path straightening into upper stretch, moved out while rallying inside the furlong marker and closed fast to get up late and narrowly prevail. AREQUIPE displayed speed on the inside of GENEVA LAKE, moved clear along the hedge when that foe was taken back on the first turn, opened up a sizable advantage on the backstretch, saw the lead shrink while relaxed into stride near the seven-sixteenths pole, raced inside on the far turn, responded well when asked outside the quarter-pole, led under a drive into the final sixteenth, was guided out closer to two threats late and was denied while just able to save the place in a good effort. TICKET TO FAME settled in the two then three path with cover, was asked on the far turn, came into upper stretch in the four path, rallied outside into the final furlong, closed strongly to make a bid between the top two late and just missed while clear for the show. JACKPOT JACKIE angled in early, saved ground while reserved along the hedge but without cover in front, moved closer with three furlongs to run, was roused on the final turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive and lacked the needed kick. WARRIOR AT HEART hit the outside of the gate then was bumped, saved ground on the first turn, was reserved towards the rear, moved from the two path to the four path on the final turn, was jostled nearing the quarter-pole, came into upper stretch in the five path and lacked the needed response. MAPPED lunged at the start and was off slow, angled in at the rear, saved ground while unhurried at the back, moved out under urging on the far turn, hesitated behind the troubled HETCH HETCHY approaching the quarter-pole then swerved out to the seven path and failed to threaten. GENEVA LAKE showed speed on the outside of the runner-up then became very rank, tossed his head while fighting the rider, was taken back off the pace in the two path on the first turn, switched off some while rated off the pace on the backstretch, moved back closer to the leader around the seven-sixteenths pole, ranged up to make a bid with five-sixteenths of a mile to run, dropped back into upper stretch and came up empty. HETCH HETCHY jostled with KIPROS just after the start, was taken back between horses nearing the first turn, raced in the two to three path under reserve with cover, was bumped by KIPROS outside the quarter-pole and jostled with WARRIOR AT HEART then checked and dropped out.
