Footnotes
IVORY AND EBONY three wide through the first turn, chased four wide coming under urging at the seven-sixteenths when RESURGE advanced outside, moved in tandem with that rival and was between foes when advancing as a pair outside of PINCH OF BOURBON three furlongs out, angled five wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive and steadily wore down the once clear leader to take command forty yards from the finish, then prevailed inching away at the end. ENDORSE bobbled at the break recovering outwards and brushing PINCH OF BOURBON, showed the way in hand briefly along the inside and then just off the inside patiently handled, spun three then two wide into upper stretch, got roused with three-sixteenths to go, edged clear under a drive to inside the eighth pole, dug in under growing lone threat to the outside, came out to look that rival in the eye and was caught forty yards from the finish while well clear of the rest for the place honors. RESURGE coaxed from the gate, raced three wide through the first turn and then five paths off the inside down the backstretch, came under coaxing at the half mile pole and continued five wide advancing in concert with IVORY AND EBONY through the turn picking up PINCH OF BOURBON three furlongs out, continued an advanced on the patiently handled leader and swung five to six wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive weakening through the final furlong while well clear for the show honors. PINCH OF BOURBON got brushed at the start by ENDORSE, who recovered outwards from a bobble, raced three wide in closest aim of that leader, came under coaxing at the three-eighths marker as a pair of rivals advanced outside and moved with them through the latter portion of the turn, continued three wide for home, then tired through to the end. AEOLIAN bobbled at the break, chased three then two wide under a ride from three furlongs out, spun three wide at the quarter pole and was carried out five wide into upper stretch by DELICIOUS DIVA drifting out to her inside, then tired in the stretch. DELICIOUS DIVA stumbled at the start, chased two to three wide under a ride from the five-sixteenths, spun just off the inside into upper stretch, drifted out four wide straightened away carrying AEOLIAN five wide and tired. BON VIVANT coaxed from the start, chased along the inside under encouragement from the five-sixteenths, angled four wide for home, faltered in the drive.
