SUNRISE broke out at the start and was corrected, raced forwardly placed just off the inside through the first turn and then got on near even terms to knock heads with HANDSOME LINC down the backstretch and through the far turn coming under coaxing near the quarter pole, got set down spinning just off the inside into upper stretch, dug in under a drive under threat from GLAVINE through the length of the stretch and gamely rebuffed the challenge to the wire. GLAVINE three wide through the first turn, tracked four then three wide advancing to be just off the duel midway down the backstretch, continued three wide through the far turn coming under coaxing near the quarter pole before being let out continuing three wide into upper stretch, rallied to get on near even terms for command and dueled through the length of the stretch fighting on gamely to the end but was ultimately denied on the line in a strong effort. TRITON saved ground in pursuit from mid pack, came under coaxing near the quarter pole, spun just off the inside into upper stretch, kicked on belatedly to the finish. ROYAL GUARD got bumped at the start by SECTION, who stumbled out awkwardly, then was briefly off heels of TACTICALITY one mile from home, raced three wide through the first turn, chased three to four wide coming under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, swung five wide for home and offered up a mild kick. TACTICALITY tucked in front of a pair of rivals one mile from home and forced both to be taken in hand off heels, raced three wide through the first turn and then three wide down the backstretch, continued three wide through the far turn coaxed along from the five-sixteenths, swung four wide into upper stretch and kept on to the finish. OMAHA STORM broke in at the start, pulled keen early on under restraint, tracked the front just off the inside from mid pack, came under urging at the five-sixteenths, spun three wide for home and made no headway. CHAMBERSVILLE got bumped one mile from home by SECTION, chased just off the inside under a ride from the five-sixteenths, spun three then two wide into upper stretch, offered up a bid but was outkicked. SECTION stumbled awkward at the start bumping ROYAL GUARD, then was off heels of TACTICALITY and grew eager under a firm hold bumping CHAMBERSVILLE, pulled four wide into the first turn before settling down tracking just off the inside from the tail of the field, came under coaxing near the five-sixteenths, swung four wide into upper stretch and offered no kick. HANDSOME LINC dueled in hand along the inside of SUNRISE, came under coaxing near the quarter pole, took the inside route into upper stretch and yielded the front straightened away and weakened. SPECTACLE tracked the pace along the inside coming under a prolonged drive from the seven-sixteenths, cut the corner into upper stretch and tired.
