FOTO went around the first turn in the four path, settled with cover, was roused while going from the three path to the five path on the far turn, brushed with OSIRIS LAW outside the quarter-pole, rallied outside in upper stretch, closed strongly to make a bid at the furlong marker, took the lead outside the sixteenth-pole and held under strong urging. BEFORE THE WIND was caught out in the five path on the first turn, settled outside without cover, was asked in the four path on the far turn, rallied in upper stretch, closed well to get the lead inside the furlong marker, lost the advantage to the winner outside the sixteenth-pole, fought with that foe to the finish and missed while able to get the place. GILBANE was taken under a strong hold early, tucked from the three path to the two path on the first turn, was reserved with cover, navigated the far turn in the three path, steadied behind traffic coming to the quarter-pole, was roused in the four path into the stretch, moved out around the furlong marker and improved with good energy to get the show. FRESH START jostled with SURFSIDE DAN early, was rated on the inside, came under intermittent urging on the final turn, was roused at the quarter-pole then turned into upper stretch under a drive and finished willingly for the last spot in the superfecta. BEAU CHEVAL was taken under a tight hold early then rated while saving ground, rounded the second turn in the two path, raced behind horses coming to the quarter-pole, was roused into upper stretch, moved out in the vicinity of the furlong marker and lacked the needed kick. SURFSIDE DAN was hustled from the gate then jostled with foes on both sides early, went to the front, showed the way on the inside, was asked on the far turn, led under a drive into the final furlong then was headed by BEFORE THE WIND and gave way. MO CURLS jostled with SURFSIDE DAN early then was taken under a snug hold, became rank nearing the first turn, moved from the inside to the three path while continuing rank on that bend, tracked outside on the backstretch, chased in the three path on the far turn, made a bid between horses outside the quarter-pole, battled under a drive into the final furlong and tired. OSIRIS LAW went around the first turn in the three to four path, was rated in the front half of the field, moved from the two path to the four path on the far turn, brushed with FOTO outside the quarter-pole, turned into upper stretch under a drive and lacked the needed response. THE GREAT EIGHT was last away then angled in at the rear, rounded the first turn in the two path, settled at the back, went around most of the far turn in the four path, dipped briefly to the three path inside the five-sixteenths pole then went back to the four path, came into the stretch in the five path then moved further out in the drive and failed to threaten. BERMAN moved in early, saved ground towards the back and was no factor. FIVEDOLLARSFORSOX established a forward position early, raced in the two path on the first turn, moved up to prompt the pace on the outside, was given his cue in the two path on the far turn and came up empty. FOLLOWILL was taken under a tight hold early then rated in the three path, was asked on the far turn and failed to respond.
