Footnotes
SCRAMJET tracked the pace on the outside, chased in the three path early on the turn, gained to make a bid outside the five-sixteenths pole, took the lead into upper stretch, shook clear under a left-handed crop outside the furlong marker and held under strong urging. PROFESSOR PLUM settled off the pace, dropped back late on the backstretch, went around most of the turn in the two path then shifted to the three path, came out to the four path into the stretch and bumped with MINDFIELD, pursued the winner to the finish and willingly earned the place. FULLCUP was well placed just off the pace, saved ground while roused on the turn, chased under a drive into the final furlong and weakened while clear for the show. MINDFIELD was restless in the gate, settled off the early pace, moved out under urging around the nine-sixteenths pole, chased in the four path on the turn, was bumped by PROFESSOR PLUM while in the five path into the stretch and tired. D I WIRE was restless in the gate, broke alertly and went straight to the front while hustled, showed the way down the backstretch, traveled around the turn in the two path, was given his cue near the five-sixteenths pole, lost the advantage to the winner into upper stretch and gave way. MIDNIGHT RAIDER broke awkwardly and was last to commence, dropped back while urged along on the outside, angled in late on the backstretch, saved ground on the turn, swung out to the six path into upper stretch and failed to respond.
