Footnotes
LUCKY CURLIN bumped with an outer foe at the start, rated in the four path, was ridden into the far turn, ranged up passing the quarter, took aim in the five path at the top of the lane, rallied to lead passing the eighth pole, and drew clear in the final sixteenth. FUNKENSTEIN trailed in the five path, was driven in the four path around the far turn, angled out to the six path at the top of the stretch, and rallied outside of foes to get up for place late. HE'S A GOOD DANCER popped the gate open prior to the start, pressed in the four path, bid three wide passing the three-eighths pole, held a narrow advantage at the top of the lane, got overtaken by the winner passing the furlong grounds, then evened out late. CHICO CHARLIE showed the way in the two path up the backstretch, came under a ride along the rail when challenged by an outer pair passing the three-eighths pole, lost the lead at the top of the stretch, fought on until the eighth pole, then flattened. FEELTHEBEAT laid up close in the three path, vied between foes in the two path around the far turn, was roused midway around the far turn, but faded from the three path down the stretch. DAMIR stalked in the four path up the backstretch, merged inside entering the far turn, cut the corner at the top of the stretch, but weakened in the final furlong. SARGEANT BARGER bumped with an inner foe at the start, tracked inside turning up the backstretch but retreated.
