MIDNIGHT ONYX raced in midpack in the five path, was coaxed along in the four path around the far turn, bid passing the quarter, took the lead passing the eighth pole, and held safe. PAYNTER'S PRODIGY showed the way in the two path, was ridden around the far turn, dug in down the stretch, lost the lead passing the eighth pole, but held place. POLITICAL RIOT tracked in the four path up the backstretch, was roused midway around the far turn, bid between foes at the top of the lane, and kept on for show. DOWNTOWN CONNECTOR was unhurried in the four path early, coaxed along around the far turn, swung from the five path into the lane, and improved. COX CANYON was wellback along the inside, ridden from the rail around the far turn, and passed tired foes in the three path down the lane. GHOST STALKER prompted the pace in the three path but yielded in the two path down the stretch. HOLIDAY FANTASY rated in the two path, was driven from the rail around the far turn, but did not factor. BELTS 'N BROOKS was wellback in the two path, fanned out to the seven path turning into the stretch, and never threatened. LE GRIFFON chased in the four path, merged into the two path while coming under a ride entering the far turn, but weakened in the four path down the lane. STREET GLIDE raced off the pace in the three path but never menaced.
