STARSHIP EMPIRE rated outside of rivals up the backstretch, ranged up to bid under a ride in the four path passing the three-eighths pole, kicked on to take the lead while in the three path going into the final furlong, and inched ahead late. EXTRASEXYBIGDADDEE tracked in the two path, got stymied between foes around the far turn, was roused passing the quarter, angled out to the four path passing the eighth pole, and ran on to get up for place late. DRAMA CHORUS got sent around the first turn to duel for the lead along the inside up the backstretch, came under a ride entering the far turn, dug in turning into the lane, but lost the lead passing the eighth pole, then yielded in the closing stages. JAILHOUSE JUSTICE stalked in the four path, bid between foes while under a drive in the three path midway around the far turn, swung from the five path into the stretch, but flattened. SYNTACTIC had a slow start, rated in the back of the pack from the three path up the backstretch, ranged up under a ride in the four path passing the quarter, got carried out to the six path at the top of the lane, then faded. AMERICAN UNITY bumped with an inner foe at the start, chased in the two path, came under a ride while angling out to the four path midway around the far turn, but did not threaten. ARTEMPUS bumped with an outer foe at the start, raced up close along the inside but retreated around the far turn. MAD DOG N JOE vied for the lead in the three path up the backstretch but gave way between foes from the two path around the far turn.
