THE BEST DISTANCE showed the way from the two path turning into the backstretch, was coaxed along around the far turn, and kicked away down the lane to be much the best. ST. LOUIE LOUIE tracked in the four path, was ridden into the far turn, ranged up passing the quarter, could not keep up with the winning pacesetter down the stretch, but held place. FORT CHARLES trailed from the two path into the backstretch, moved up passing the half, was ridden from the rail around the far turn, swung out to the three path at the top of the lane, and faded but held show. MISSION MIKE raced in midpack out in the five path, was driven into the far turn, but made no impact from the six path down the stretch. ACTION SEEKER stalked in the three path early but retreated. HARI was wellback along the inside and never threatened. CRYPTO MAN raced off the pace out in the six path and never threatened.
