PERSISTEN laid up close in the two path, bid under a ride passing the quarter, got herded out to the six path while dueling with the inner pacesetter into the final furlong, and inched ahead late. RETEKO showed the way along the inside up the backstretch, waited around the far turn, was roused when challenged passing the quarter, dug in while drifting out to the five path in upper stretch, dug in while dueling with an outer foe, but was edged out in the final stride. MCKELLEN bumped on both sides at the start, tracked in the two path, was cued from the rail midway around the far turn, swung from the four path into the lane, and ran on for show. JIBILIAN rated inside, improved along the rail around the far turn, angled out to the seven path while coming under a drive at the top of the stretch, and kept on. DABOOM bumped between foes at the start, was unhurried in the two path early, roused midway around the far turn, swung from the four path into the lane, and stayed on. RAGMAN bumped with an inner foe at the start, stalked in the four path, came under a ride midway around the far turn, fanned out to the seven path entering the stretch, but made no impact. MR BUSINESS pressed in the three path, was ridden around the far turn, but faded down the lane. LAIRD OF MAGNOLIA bumped with an outer foe at the start, trailed inside early and did not factor. WEAPON raced off the pace in the three path but never threatened. MAX SWAGGER was wellback in the three path and never menaced.
