AMERICAN DIRECTION raced off the pace on the outside up the backstretch, began a bid from the three path coming around the turn, dueled in the stretch, drifted in in the final furlong, bumping with REPETITIVE in the process, and got up for the win late. REPETITIVE chased the leader early, continued around the turn in the two path, dug in gamely in the lane, was bumped by AMERICAN DIRECTION in late stretch and narrowly missed. MORODER raced off the pace on the inside up the backstretch, saved ground around the turn and showed no kick. GATORS REIGN led the way up the backstretch, saved ground around the bend and faded in the lane. AN INQUIRY WAS MADE INTO THE STRETCH RUN. ADDITIONALLY, THE RIDER OF HORSE ONE, REPETITIVE, CLAIMED FOUL AGAINST HORSE FIVE, AMERICAN DIRECTION, CITING INTERFERENCE IN LATE STRETCH. UPON REVIEW, HORSE FIVE, AMERICAN DIRECTION, WAS DISQUALIFIED AND PLACED SECOND FOR INTERFERENCE.
