SECRET EMPIRE dueled between horses up the backstretch, continued around the turn in the two path and kicked clear in the lane. BAR DOWN EXPRESS raced in the middle of the pack early, navigated the turn from the two path, began a bid entering the stretch and improved position from there. GUAPO AGAIN (ARG) pressed the pace on the outside up the backstretch, continued to battle from the three path around the bend and could not go with the winner in the lane but chased on to the wire. PROTEGE chased the leader between horses through the opening quarter, came around the turn in the three path and was outkicked in the stretch. MORNING CUP dueled on the inside through the early going, saved ground around the bend and weakened in the lane. BATTLE WARRIOR raced off the pace up the backstretch, continued around the turn in the three path and made no bid.
