SON OF A SLEW was rated along the inside for most of the race and cut the corner then made a bid for the lead and was up a head at the furlong marker and held through to the wire. JUST COMPLY broke outwards and bumped with a rival and stalked the top two from the three path, shifted up closer nearing the turn and vied on the outside, then came five wide into the upper and broke away from the rest but couldn't catch the lead while being a clear second best. RAMESSES was off slow and settled off the pace on the inside and shifted out while moving along the backstretch, came four wide on the turn and swung widest into the upper, then was bumped nearing the furlong marker while making a strong bid and finished well to get the show award at the wire. COUSIN ED was bumped at the start and settled mid-pack in the four path, came out eight wide into the upper and was steered out nearing the furlong marker and bumped with a rival while making it's bid but was just short. DEPORTIVO was settled between rivals through the first and came three wide through the second turn, angled out to be six wide into the upper and drifted in the deep stretch but needed more. CALVINO settled back along the inside for most of the race then steered out in the stretch and bumped with a rival at the furlong marker but was outfinished. DANCING BEAR broke inwards at the break and vied for the pace early on from the inside, then came two wide into the upper stretch but weakened. J SQUARED rushed up early and vied for the lead in the two path and was a bit keen entering the first, was then placed between rivals through the turn and got bumped nearing the furlong marker then faded in the deep stretch. LAIRD OF MAGNOLIA was off the pace in the two path through the first turn and shifted out along the backstretch to enter the second turn five wide, then swung out to be nine wide into the upper but made no bid. BEST CHANCE YET was bumped at the break and settled off pace two wide, then was keen nearing the backstretch and came five wide into the upper but was no factor.
