Footnotes
SIR ROBERT HALL quickly moved clear, set the pace from off the rail, drew off when asked, was eased up a bit late once safely in front. MR JACK settled mid-pack, went four to five wide on the turn and was niggled along about the five-sixteenths, floated wider in upper stretch, was no match for the winner but just got the nod for place. HAY MOON settled just off and outside the aforementioned rival off the pace going five to six wide through the turn, moved out wider for the drive, ran on late but missed second over that one. D COLDEST chased outside runners three to four wide, drifted a bit turning for home, kept on as the inside runners dropped back but needed more. FEDERAL EXCHANGE was toward the back and off the inside about three to five wide, swung out seven wide turning into upper stretch, was guided in once in upper stretch and rallied inside foes late to just miss for the minor awards. RUSSIAN HAMMER was outsprinted early, saved ground on the turn, improved inside. HAKKIMI (CHI) bumped with a foe just after the start, raced well back off the rail, angled eight wide at the top of the stretch, was forced wider in upper stretch, ran on but needed more. WALT WHITMAN (IRE) broke a step slowly and was bumped, moved out wide up the backstretch, swung further to be ten deep turning for home, was never near enough to threaten but improved. MACLIN chased from off the rail two to three wide early, faded. AMBULANTE chased close up from inside, was off the fence turning into upper stretch, came up empty. KALINBA broke out a bit at the start, moved forward chasing just off the leader from between runners, came up empty. ZINGALES KING hopped at the start and was in a bit tight, trailed early, swung nine wide, was never a threat.
