Footnotes
THE DOORMAN bumped at the break, reserved towards the inside, advanced two wide to the inside on the far turn, tipped out three wide for aim and went on even terms for command by the furlong and drew off to prove much the best under crop urging. SILENT AND VIOLENT was reserved early, four wide on the far turn and made a bid by the quarter pole but proved to be no match for the winner while being second best. COX CANYON chased the pace three wide into the first turn and then fell back to trail the field on the backstretch, saved ground on the far turn and cut the corner leaving the turn and then angled out in late stretch and was up for the show award. PRACTICAL WAY set the pace while well clear early, then was headed nearing the furlong marker and weakened losing the show award on the wire. NAUTILUS broke in the air and was off slowly, made a five wide move on the far turn but weakened in the lane. GHOST STALKER chased the pace on the outside and was three to two wide on the far turn but weakened. FREE RAMBLING MAN chased the pace two wide and tired. BURN JAKEY BURN was settled early on the inside, then was ridden along by the three eighths marker and tired. LEAD OFF was between rivals on the first turn, moved out wide on the backstretch, then chased the pace four to three wide on the far turn but tired in the lane.
