REDBIRD NATION led the way on the inside up the backstretch, continued around the turn in the two path, and held that margin to the wire while drifting in. BATTLE WARRIOR pressed the pace on the outside up the backstretch, navigated the turn from the three path and gained ground late. NYIKOS chased the pace setters between horses through the opening quarter, saved ground around the turn, raced into traffic and was forced to check sharply in the final furlong and chased on from there. K PAZ raced off the pace on the inside early, navigated the turn from the four path and improved position in the lane. FLY COMMANDER stalked the leader on the outside up the backstretch, continued around the turn in the four path and weakened in the stretch. WESTMINSTER was pinched back leaving the gate, raced off the pace on the outside up the backstretch, came around the turn in the four path and made no bid. LEIGH'S LAST HERO raced in the middle of the pack on the outside through the early going, navigated the turn from the two path and was empty in the lane. GRAND SLAM BOY chased the leader on the inside up the backstretch, saved ground around the turn and tired in the stretch. AN INQUIRY WAS MADE INTO THE STRETCH. ADDITIONALLY, THE RIDER OF HORSE ONE, NYIKOS, CLAIMED FOUL AGAINST HORSE SEVEN, REDBIRD NATION, CITING INTERFERENCE IN THE STRETCH. UPON REVIEW, HORSE SEVEN, REDBIRD NATION, WAS DISQUALIFIED AND PLACED THIRD FOR INTERFERENCE.
