THE PUMA raced in the four path around the first turn, settled off the pace on the outside for the run up the backstretch, began a bid coming around the second turn, entered the stretch in the five path and dueled gamely in the stretch, drifting in and bumping with CANALETTO on his way to edging up for the win. FURTHER ADO bumped with the horse to his outside at the start, raced in the three path around the first bend, stalked the leader on the outside up the backstretch, navigated the far turn still in the three path, challenged in upper stretch, racing in tight quarters and bumping mildly with CANALETTO late before being caught by the winner. CANALETTO raced in the five path around the first bend, settled in the middle of the pack on the outside for the run up the backstretch, began a bid from the four path coming around the second turn, raced in tight quarters in the final furlong, bumping with THE PUMA while dueling in late stretch and was caught by that rival near the wire. REDLAND REBELS saved ground early, led the way up the backstretch, dueled from the two path around the far turn and in upper stretch and gave way late. TALKIN raced in the two path around the first turn, tracked the leader on the inside up the backstretch, navigated the far turn from the two path, switched to the outside entering the stretch and was outkicked from there. POWERSHIFT raced in the two path around the first bend, settled in the middle of the pack between horses for the run up the backstretch, came around the far turn still in the two path and made no bid. THUNDER BUCK bumped with the horse to his inside leaving the gate, raced in the three path around the first turn, continued up the backstretch off the pace between horses, continued around the second turn in the two path and was empty in the lane. HULKAMANIA raced in the middle of the pack on the inside through the opening half mile, saved ground around the far turn and faded in the stretch. ROGER THAT DANA saved ground early, trailed the field up the backstretch, continued to save ground around the second turn and was never a factor.
