KING OF THE TRAIL stalked the pace early from the two path and moved up closer along the backstretch then took command entering the upper and shifted to the inside and dueled with GOLD RULES down to the wire and was just up late to prove best. GOLD RULES settled in the two path early on near the middle of the pack and advanced nearing the bottom of the turn, then dueled while passing the furlong marker and was up briefly but just missed. TUSCAN THUNDER settled back along the inside and saved ground through most the race and came three wide around the turn, then four wide into the upper and angled out while making a late rally and improved to the show award. ROCCO'S SPIRIT was forwardly placed early on the inside and tipped out in the stretch but flattened. COUNTINGMYBLESSING set the pace early from the inside and was pressured along the backstretch, then came two wide into the upper while weakening. MYSTIC ISLE was off slow at the break and settled along the inside mid-pack, then came two to three wide on the turn and further out to be five wide in the upper but had no kick. RED FERN stumbled at the break and settled two wide mid-pack, then came three wide through the turn and swung six wide into the upper but was no menace. LUCKCREST was bumped at the start and settled two wide off the pace, then shifted out five wide through the turn and cut to the inside nearing the bottom of the turn but was no factor. TORONJA was bumped at the break and was trailed the field from the two path and was never a factor.
