LAKE CHAPALA rushed to the lead before the first turn, was four wide through the first turn but settled in the two path soon after, floated out a bit in the upper stretch but fought hard to hold off rallying foe. TONY B settled off the pace just off the rail, trailed through the far turn, navigated traffic in the upper stretch and closed well but was denied the win. AWESOME ENTRY settled back to trail after the first turn, advanced four wide through the far turn and entered the stretch in a prominent position, had no final bid. IF I WERE YOU tracked the pace three wide, flattened out in the stretch. CENTERFOLD GUY shadowed the pace form the inside, was roused at the three eighths but lacked the response needed, faded in the stretch. GARRINCHA was rated four wide, never threatened. DEVILISH DESIRE was forwardly placed between runners, backed off through the far turn, showed no late kick.
