STRATEGICOPERATION found early placement around the middle of the pack, ranged up to make a two wide bid at the top the stretch, drove clear in the final furlong. ILLUSTRATION settled off the pace, navigated past foes through the turn to enter the stretch in a competitive position three wide, got up for the place honors but was no match for the winner. BILLYSUNDENIABLE split foes to set a pressured pace in the early stages, met a couple bids rounding the turn and eventually gave way to both in the final furlong, clear of the rest for the show award. GIMME ME BIT settled back to trail shortly after the start, was roused through the turn to gain position, picked off one more foe in the stretch. GRANDPA'S ACE broke alertly before opting to press the pace from the inside in the early stages, retreated through the turn, showed little in the stretch. ULTRA SMART was fractious in the gate, tracked the pace from the inside, backed off to trail by the three eighths, passed retreating foe in the stretch. GIFT FROM HEAVEN pressed the early pace setter from the three path, began retreating at the quarter pole.
