AWESOME SUNSHINE off step slow, tracked four wide along the backstretch, loomed second turn, took command and kicked clear into the stretch, kept to task into the final sixteenth and held safely over the oncoming runner-up. SPUN TO PURFECTION off step slow, rushed up three wide, tracked to far turn, swung widest to upper stretch, was gaining late but could not reel in the winner in deep stretch and was second best. WINNING SHOT settled and saved ground to the backstretch, angled three wide to upper stretch, advanced at the furlong marker, could not muster a final kick, clear for third. DARK WIND hustled, set pace inside to second turn, faded stretch. GOPHERS AXE attended pace between two wide, weakened stretch. STAGE RIGHT stalked three wide to far turn, gave way. QUEENS DIPLOMAT settled, coaxed between two wide to far turn, swung four wide to upper stretch and tired.
