TAKE ME TO CHURCH (IRE) assumed early command, set moderate fractions while well handled to the backstretch, led into upper stretch, dug in into the final furlong and determinedly held foes at bay in the late stages. ROYAL LUCK (CHI) raced close up to the early pace while three wide, tracked the moderate pace to the backstretch, chased two wide to the quarter pole, ran in pursuit of TAKE ME TO CHURCH (IRE) to mid-stretch, lacked final kick in deep stretch and held well late for second. PERUVIAN LUCKY hopped at the start and was away a step slowly, settled two wide to the backstretch, bid three wide into the far turn, chased TAKE ME TO CHURCH (IRE) into the stretch, could not mount the needed late response and just missed for second, while clear of the rest for third. AMERICAN UNITY settled off of the early pace, went between rivals along the backstretch run, coaxed two to three wide to the quarter pole, chased into the stretch and offered a mild late bid. MAX'S MAP was unhurried to the backstretch, weaved through rivals along the far turn, swung widest to upper stretch and found his best stride late. STARSHIP EMPIRE settled while saving ground early on, was well placed to the backstretch, chased from the inside then two wide nearing the quarter marker, got caught in tight approaching the top of the stretch, chased to the furlong grounds and did not offer a late response. BRAMBLE BLAZE settled three then four wide to the backstretch, advanced into the far turn, swung five wide to upper stretch and finished evenly. DAMIR settled while saving ground early on, advanced along the inside into the far turn, swung to the two path to upper stretch and flattened out late. LUCKY CURLIN settled mid-pack and between rivals early on, chased three then four wide to the quarter marker, could not keep pace into the stretch and weakened in the final furlong. CORONOVA raced close up to the early pace, stalked the moderate fractions to the backstretch run, lost position into the far turn then gave way in the stretch. GOOSE HUNTER settled off of the early pace while never far back, tracked five wide nearing the half-mile pole, lost position while five to six wide heading to the quarter pole and tired in the stretch. VINTNER was unhurried to the first turn, coaxed six wide to the half-mile pole, ran in pursuit six to seven wide nearing the quarter marker and came up empty in the stretch.
