EUNOMIA forwardly placed away from the start, tracked the early pace from between rivals, went up and pressed the pace along the backstretch run then took command to the far turn, led to upper stretch, kept to task into the final furlong and held off the runner-up in deep stretch. U LITE UP MY LIFE tracked the early pace from outside of rivals, was well placed while three deep along the backstretch run, chased into the far turn then bid to upper stretch, ran in pursuit of EUNOMIA while on the left lead, could not reel in the winner in deep stretch and was a clear second. CASTAGNA settled just off of the early pace and saved ground to the first turn, never far back along the backstretch run, chased into the far turn then swung to two path while in pursuit into upper stretch, was no match for the top pair late but kept on to be a clear third. SWEET NOLA sent for the early lead, assumed command and showed the way into the first turn, set pressured fractions into the backstretch run, dueled EUNOMIA into the far turn then lost the lead to that rival nearing the quarter marker, was outkicked to upper stretch and faded in the drive. BIRDIE ROSE took back leaving the start, settled outside of rivals into the first turn, tracked the pace four wide along the backstretch, gave chase into the far turn, could not muster the needed response in the stretch and did not threaten late. VICTORIA'S DANCER reserved in the early going, trailed into the backstretch run, roused three wide to the quarter pole, swung widest to upper stretch and did not factor late. COMMISSIONER GULCH settled just off of the early pace, tracked two wide and between foes along the backstretch run, lost position into the far turn, coaxed three to four wide to upper stretch and came up empty in the late stages.
