Footnotes
BLAZE OF COLOR stalked in the three path, vied outside of the leader around the far turn, assumed command at the quarter pole and drew off under a drive. PEACE NOT WAR stalked along the inside, pursued in the two path into upper stretch and ran on between rivals to edge place leaving the sixteenth pole. MR. PENNY PINCHER showed the way in the two path, vied with the eventual winner into the far turn, proved no match at the quarter pole, got headed for place leaving the sixteenth marker and fought on. PRINCE OF AYRSHIRE raced off of the pace in the three to two path, shifted out to the five path into the lane and moved up wilingly. LONELY RIDE broke half a step slow, trailed along the inside then stayed on while shifting out in the final furlong. TRIPLE PASS tracked from the two path, chased in the three path around the far turn, offered a mild bid for place in the final furlong and yielded. SYNTACTIC raced off of the pace in the four to three path, fanned out to the six path into the lane and failed to factor. MAYNARD broke a beat slow, advanced in the five to four path around the first turn to be within range outside of the leaders into the backstretch, but faltered rounding the far turn.
