Footnotes
CARAVAGGIO'S SONG vied three deep into the first turn then took a stalking position off the rail, challenged from outside with three furlongs remaining, took over late on the bend, shifted out and bumped BIG LOUS MESSENGER at the eighth pole, dueled with that rival into the final sixteenth, came out late and was able to hold on. BIG LOUS MESSENGER tracked in hand two wide then along the rail, got shuffled behind STORMEY MONDAY at the three-eighths pole, tipped three wide into the clear, got bumped by CARAVAGGIO'S SONG while challenging at the eighth pole, dueled into deep stretch, got forced out by that rival late and just missed. PROMAJA traveled on the inside near the back in the early going, went between rivals midway around the far turn, entered the lane in the two path, summoned a mild rally and split foes to earn the show honors. CINDY'S PRINCESS was reluctant loading into the gate, steered to the two path from off the pace early, crept closer in the middle stages, loomed three to four wide turning for home but flattened out in the furlong grounds. FORGET TOMORROW settled next to the rail then moved to the two path around the clubhouse turn, moved into range between rivals on the backstretch, chased two wide then along the rail on the far turn, took aim at the leaders in upper stretch, drifted in and lost some momentum at the eighth pole, then flattened out in the late stages. STORMEY MONDAY vied for the lead from inside into the first turn then took control around the bend, lost command leaving the backstretch, started to weaken on the far turn and faded in the lane. FLAMING SPIRIT vied between rivals into the first turn then prompted the pace from outside, put a head in front at the seven-sixteenths pole, lost command late on the far turn, fought to the eighth pole and weakened. ELECTRIC RUNNER trailed on the inside, passed a rival exiting the far turn and failed to make an impact. SEXPECTATIONS vied four deep for a bit then took a stalking position and moved into the three path around the first turn, continued off the rail up the backstretch, traveled three then four wide on the second bend and had little left for the stretch run. THERE WAS AN INQUIRY INVOLVING THE STRETCH RUN BETWEEN CARAVAGGIO'S SONG AND BIG LOUS MESSENGER. THE TRAINER OF BIG LOUS MESSENGER ALSO LODGED A CLAIM OF FOUL AGAINST CARAVAGGIO'S SONG. FOLLOWING A REVIEW, THE STEWARDS DISQUALIFIED CARAVAGGIO'S SONG FROM FIRST TO SECOND FOR BUMPING AND FLOATING BIG LOUS MESSENGER OUT WHICH COST HER A CHANCE AT A BETTER PLACING.
