SILVER SLUGGER chased the leader on the outside up the backstretch, challenged from the three path coming around the turn and kicked clear in the lane. ROME'S CONQUEST led the way on the inside through the opening quarter, navigated the turn from the two path and chased on to the wire. EL PRINCIPITO trailed the field up the backstretch, began a bid from the four path coming around the turn and improved position in the stretch. JOHN DUTTON raced off the pace on the outside early, continued around the bend in the three path and made up some mild ground in the lane. GRIM REAPER raced in the middle of the pack on the outside up the backstretch, navigated the turn from the two path and was outkicked in the stretch. ROCKET DRAGON raced in the middle of the pack between horses up the backstretch, saved ground around the turn and faded in the lane. CAPTURE THE TIME hit the gate leaving it, settled in the middle of the pack on the inside for the run up the backstretch, dropped back while racing in the three path around the bend and continued to tire from there.
