LITERATE was bumped by an outer rival leaving the gate, trailed along the inside, advanced two to three wide and between horses turning for home, shifted out to the five path in upper stretch and rallied to reel in the leader with thirty yards to go. DEVASSA (BRZ) broke inwardly and bumped a rival at the start, tracked along the inside, tipped out to take aim outside of the embattled leading pair at the five sixteenths pole, ranged up to bid entering the lane, drove clear in midstretch but got caught by an outer bidder in the final sixteenth. LOVE SONG saved ground off of the pace, progressed inside of foes around the far turn, but became blocked while loaded with run at the quarter pole, got outkicked by an outer foe before progressing between horses into the final furlong and ran on willingly. TRIAL broke through the starting gate pre-race, pressed three wide, dueled two wide leaving the five furlong pole, led narrowly at the quarter pole, but got bested by an outer bidder entering upper stretch then faded between horses. CONDONE lacked speed in the two to four path into the backstretch, floated to the six path at the five sixteenths pole, then surpassed tiring rivals in the final furlong. HELLO HELLO HELLO pressed two wide and between horses early on, backed off and stalked outside of the embattled leading pair at the nine sixteenths pole, but yielded once floated four wide at the five sixteenths pole and faded while drifting wider into the lane. VELVET DEVIL set the pace along the inside, dueled with an outer bidder leaving the five furlong pole, continued to spar around the far turn then weakened in upper stretch. CAIRO CONSORT pursued from the two to three path, then between horses into the far turn, floated out to the five path at the five sixteenths pole then weakened.
