Footnotes
EXTRAVAGANT PRINCE showed the way along the inside, got collared by an outer bidder reaching the quarter pole, dug in and dueled gamely through the final furlong, brushed his counterpart approaching the wire and clung to an advantage. AIR CAV tracked three wide, bid outside of the leader and from the three path nearing the quarter pole, battled with that one neck and neck through the final furlong, took a brush late and narrowly missed. PERSONAL CREED broke outwardly and bumped a foe at the start, saved ground off of the pace, stayed on to edge show from outer foes leaving the furlong grounds, hung on his left lead and lasted for that position at the wire. ROMANTIC LEAD was bumped by an inner rival into an outer foe and checked back at the start, tracked along the inside, shifted out to the four path in upper stretch chased evenly between horses and missed show. PATRONAGE pursued two wide, shifted out to the five path into the lane and stayed on mildly to miss show. GREAT SWORD took contact from an inner foe leaving the gate, raced off of the pace two wide and between horses then failed to factor. MISSIONARY MAN was bumped by an inner rival and brushed with an outer foe at the start, stalked two wide, then between horses with five furlongs to go, pressed into the far turn but faded turning for home. ANDY'S CANDY broke slowly, raced off of the pace in the four path, fanned to the six path into the lane and made little impact.
