Footnotes
CHAMPAGNE NIGHTS settled last but one shifting in on the first turn, bided time up the backstretch, raced between foes still at the rear into the far turn, tipped out five to six wide near the five-sixteenths advancing outside foes, struck the lead near the sixteenth pole and drew clear. ORIENT BEACH had the very early lead but ceded it to an outside foe content to stalk from inside, bid near the quarter pole, was no match for the winner but kept on to hold the place. MUSTANG LADY tracked from inside up close, tipped out passing the quarter pole, kept on but needed more. CATALYZED (FR) tucked in three to four wide early, stalked in behind about mid-division, faced mild traffic past the seven-sixteenths, came out for the drive, ran on evenly late. SPUN UP was strongly urged at the start and soon after, was intent and soon took the lead, set the pace from outside, steadily weakened. LATTE LIZZIE stalked up close in behind racing three to five wide, weakened. SWEET MAGNOLIA was lightly brushed at the start, raced off the pace two to three wide early, shifted in saving ground along the rail through the far turn, was one-paced and made no bid. ZAFYRE hopped at the start, settled at the rear moving out, raced three to four wide on the far turn, was never near enough to threaten. GAL CAPONE steadied slightly at the start, chased four to five wide, came up empty. RIDE THE BROOM stalked up close two to three wide in the early going, retreated and was not persevered with in the stretch.
