Footnotes
DELTA TAU CHI stalked three to two wide into the turn, bid outside of the leader entering the lane, assumed command reaching midstretch and drew off under little urging. PATRONAGE was slow into stride, raced near the rear early on, advanced in the four to five path around the turn then sustained a rally while hanging on his left lead to reach place late. MY MISTER PERFECT was allowed to settle, trailed in the three path, swung out six wide into the lane, rallied willingly and prevailed for show at the wire. UNEVEN KIEL took contact from an outer foe at the start, pursued from midpack along the inside, forged show from an outer foe at the quarter pole, chased while hanging on his left lead through midstretch, got outkicked for minor placings at the sixteenth pole then missed show at the wire. GUN FACTOR bumped an inner foe leaving the gate, showed the way along the inside, led as the eventual winner applied pressure around the turn, proved no match for that one leaving upper stretch and faded. GREATDAYFORHOCKEY lacked speed in the two to path and failed to factor. AMERICAN BEAR tracked from the four path, chased around the turn, yielded show to an inner foe reaching the lane then tired between horses. HAVEGUNSWILLTRAVEL made little impact from the three path. ZEN IT bobbled at the start, pursued from the three to four path then gave way between horses entering the lane. FREE AMERICA prompted between the top pair early on, but faded approaching the turn then weakened between rivals around the bend.
