CANTERBURY LANE showed the way along the inside, drew clear in hand in the two path at the three furlong pole, responded when set down in upper stretch and kicked away under a mild drive. BIRKIN GIRL lacked speed in the two path, progressed in the four to five path turning for home, ran on to reach place at the sixteenth pole then narrowly lasted from an inner challenger at the wire. SCRIBBLE settled off of the pace along the inside, awaited racing room behind foes at the five sixteenths pole, progressed three wide and between horses entering the lane, rallied to split foes two wide at the sixteenth pole, sustained a late bid for place but missed at the wire. FREAK CITY trailed along the inside, crept closer in the four to six path around the far turn then moved up. COULDYOUBELOVED pressed outside of the eventual winner into the backstretch, yielded in the three path at the three furlong pole, faded between horses nearing the lane then continued to give way while being subtly put to tight rail quarters at the sixteenth pole. TRUE CLASS tracked two wide and between horses, chased the clear leader from the two to three path into the lane, proved no match then tired between horses. ORIENT BEACH broke outwardly, tracked three deep, chased in the four path around the far turn then weakened between horses. EVERYTHING BUGS ME raced off of the pace in the three to two path and between horses, then failed to factor. SMOOTH WAVES got floated out by an inner foe at the start, settled in the four path, chased while moving to the inside turning for home then tired. ENDLESS VOW stalked along the inside, failed to respond to urging approaching the far turn then weakened around that bend. THE RIDER OF COULDYOUBELOVED CLAIMED FOUL AGAINST SCRIBBLE ALLEGING INTERFERENCCE AT THE SIXTEENTH POLE, BUT THE OBJECTION WAS DISALLOWED BY THE STEWARDS.
