Footnotes
PETOSKEY STONES broke outwardly at the start, bumped with an inner foe shortly after, stalked the top pair from the four to three path into the backstretch, bid well in hand at the three furlong pole, gained an advantage while remaining in the three path turning for home, dug in as an outer rival issued a challenge entering the lane, dug in and gamely clung to an advantage thereafter. NO HAY DOS pursued from midpack in the two path and between horses around the first turn, crept closer in the three to four path around the far turn, bid outside of the new leader entering the lane, sparred while flopping to and from his left lead in the final furlong then was denied late. BOURBON RAGE steadied then shied from an inner rival at the start, trailed in the four path around the first turn, tucked and saved ground around the far turn, shifted out to split foes while entering the lane in the four path then stayed on willingly. LION GUARD set the pace as an outer rival prompted, got collared by a wider challenger at the three furlong pole, headed by that one nearing the quarter pole then faded. STEFAN'S TITLE brushed with an inner foe leaving the gate, pursued from midpack in the three to four path then tired. THE BLUE FACTOR took contact from an outer rival early on, lacked speed in the three path around both turns, got floated to the five path entering the lane and weakened. CIVITAS chased along the inside into the first turn then steadily faded. VILNIUS brushed with an outer foe at the start, prompted two wide, vied down the backstretch, got outkicked by an outer bidder at the three furlong pole and weakened.
