Footnotes
HONEST AL vied near the inside before backing off to stalk the clearing leader leaving the three furlong pole, shifted out to the five path to take aim outside of that one in upper stretch, kicked in to drive past approaching the final sixteenth and drew clear. COLONEL COMPTON vied in the three path, drew clear at the thee furlong pole, but got caught by an outer re-bidder in the final furlong and was second best. MISSIONARY MAN brushed with an outer foe at the start, tracked in the four to five path leaned out to the seven path into the lane then stayed on to forge show at the wire. BIG WALT broke a beat slow, tracked along the inside, chased in the five path in upper stretch then lost show at the wire. PATRONAGE broke a step slow, lagged behind two wide, entered the lane in the five path then ran on willingly. DIRBAS stalked in the four path then faded between horses at the quarter pole. IT TAKES A COWBOY lacked speed in the three path then failed to factor. K'S STORM READY brushed with an inner rival and steadied back at the start, then got outrun along the inside. ANDY'S CANDY refused at the start. A STEWARDS' INQUIRY REVIEWING THE START RESULTED IN NO CHANGE TO THE ORIGINAL ORDER OF FINISH.
