HALFTIME SHOW dueled for the lead with an outer rival, inched free of that one leaving upper stretch then held late. FROSTED MUG raced off of the pace in the three path before tucking to the inside around the turn, advanced into the lane, shifted out to the five path nearing the final furlong, rallied to close in on the leaders late, gained place but needed more. RICHEZTOO brushed an inner rival at the start, dueled for the lead outside of the eventual winner, failed to maintain level terms in upper stretch, sustained pursuit while hanging on his left lead but lost place late. SMOOTH WHISKEY broke a step slow and was brushed by an outer rival at the start, raced off of the pace in the four to three path, floated to the five path into the lane then failed to menace. BAYTOWN ANUBIS chased the embattled leading pair from the two path then faded while entering the lane in the four path. BORIS BADENOV transferred contact from an outer rival to an inner foe at the start, raced off of the pace along the inside, retreated to trail into the turn then got outrun.
