BLYTHES FERRY stalked in the two path, bid two wide at the three furlong pole, dueled with the early pace-setter through the lane and edged clear in the final sixteenth. T' RAY showed the way long the inside, vied with an outer rival down the backstretch, got collared by a different bidder at the three furlong pole, sparred with that one through midstretch but was bested late and proved second best. RUN DAVID RUN chased from the three to four path then failed to threaten the top pair. SOUTHERN SOUL broke a step slow, advanced four wide around the first turn, vied outside of the leader while remaining in the three path down the backstretch, then faded between foes at the three furlong pole.
