Footnotes
HOGIE THE PLAYER set the pace along the inside, remained in hand as an outer foe applied pressure around the turn, shook clear entering the lane then held sway. UTOPIAN got briefly keen between horses at the five furlong pole, pursued from midpack in the three to four path, roused at the quarter pole, ran on to gain place in midstetch then held that position. TAGLIATELLE trailed in the four path, fanned to the five to six path into upper stretch then rallied to edge show. FALFURRIAS brushed with an inner foe at the start, laid off of the pace in the four path, moved out to the five path in upper stretch then stayed on between rivals but got outkicked for show. CURLIN'S GESTURE was brushed between foes at the start, laid off of the pace in the two path, then between horses around the turn, stayed on mildly and missed fourth. WAKAN brushed with an outer foe at the start, stalked three wide, pressed the eventual winner two wide around the turn, but yielded entering the lane and gave way. CHISELER was brushed between horses at the start, pressed outside of the leader early on, failed to sustain pressure before chasing along the inside around the turn, then faded while hanging on his left lead. GLOBAL SENSATION tracked along the inside, chased around the turn then faded.
