DAME'S ROCKET broke sharply but was beaten to the lead, settled four-wide in the tracking group, gradually advanced towards the front through the turn, set down at the top of the stretch with DODECAHEDRON engaged in a spirited stretch duel with a very game rival, and got a favorable bob at the line. DODECAHEDRON hustled away to clear the field, got to the inside, with only one rival in close pursuit early, opened up a bit on the turn, then was confronted by DAME'S ROCKET approaching the quarter pole, battled gamely along the rail but got tagged in the last jump. GLADLY raced two-deep in mid-pack, then chased the top pair to the wire. CATNIP HILL was outpaced from the start despite some early coaxing from the rider, was last by a large margin going into the turn, then started to run on with three furlongs to go, swung seven-wide into the lane, continued the rally through the stretch, and improved to fourth. BLAZEN EYES got away well, tracked close initially, then dropped back to mid-pack and finished evenly. HOPE SHE FIRES steadily dropped back to the back after a level start, went four-wide through the turn and ran on some to improve while never a serious threat. BARBIE B dropped back after the start, raced well back, then went one-paced through the stretch. MOTHER VOLGA traveled in mid-pack to the stretch but came up empty. OONDIRI away well, raced up close along the rail, came under a ride leaving the three-furlong pole and tired in upper stretch. NOT TODAY BOSS ducked in at the start, was slow to get going, raced near the back, kept to the inside through the turn, but did not rally. PAT'S BUTTON broke well, and got into a good stalking position behind DODECAHEDRON early, switched out to the three-path midway on the backstretch, continued to chase that one through the turn, then weakened before the quarter pole and came up empty in the stretch.
