Footnotes
GARDEN LEAVE settled in the three path, inched closer in the four path turning for home, bid leaving the quarter pole, led into the lane, shifted out as an outer foe took aim in the final furlong then held sway. GHOST PRINCE brushed with an outer foe at the start, laid at the rear in the two to three path, progressed five wide at the quarter pole, rallied to take aim on the leader in midstretch, but got floated out in the final sixteenth and was fended off late. ICONIC ROCK stalked from the three path, chased between horses around the far turn then stayed on to hold show. PIERCE ELEVATED broke a bit awkwardly and brushed an inner foe at the start, advanced in the four path around the first turn, roused in range of the clear leader while entering the far turn in the three path, but faded between horses at the quarter pole, yet came again mildly. NICO'S DERBY RUN pursued two wide and between horses, shifted out to the five to six path into upper stretch and failed to menace on his left lead. BROGUE tracked along the inside, chased around the far turn, shifted out in upper stretch and gave way. BLUE COAST set a clear pace along the inside, but got caught entering the lane and weakened. MERLOTTI lacked speed along the inside, got rank and pulled behind foes around the first turn, took the far turn in the four path, got floated to the seven path entering the lane and made little impact.
