Footnotes
SEAL BAY set the pace near the inside, then in the two path around the far turn, maintained an advantage through upper stretch, dug in to meet an inner challenge at the sixteenth pole then held firm. MIDWAY MUNNY stalked near the inside, ran on to bid inside of the leader at the sixteenth pole but was denied. GHOST TALES pressed the eventual winner from the three path, was kept at bay through midstretch then yielded in the final furlong. HARDTOBLAME brushed an outer rival at the start, tracked from the three to four path, pursued within range outside of the leaders turning for home, but chased into the lane and gave way. DEWY'S DENALI lacked speed along the inside, shifted to the four path into the lane and failed to factor. PETOSKEY STONES was brushed by an inner foe at the start, lacked speed in the four to three path and made little impact. VALIANT AWARD pursued from the two path, chased between horses around the turn then faded. MOUNTAIN WOLF bumped the gate and dislodged his rider at the start. A STEWARDS' INQUIRY REVIEWING THE START RESULTED IN NO CHANGE TO THE ORIGINAL ORDER OF FINISH.
