Footnotes
ARISTOTLE trailed along the inside, shifted out around the far turn, swung out to the seven path into the lane, rallied to bid outside of the new leader at the furlong grounds, battled neck and neck with that one through the late stages and narrowly prevailed. COALMOON was last away, lacked speed in the six to four path around the first turn, circled foes with a six wide sweep turning for home to reach the lead entering the lane, dug in as an outer bidder challenged in midstretch, battled gamely but narrowly missed. TRE ITALIANI showed the way in the two path, vied with an outer rival down the backstretch and around the far turn, but got headed by a wider challenger entering the lane then kept on well. MOUNT HOREB tracked in the two path, moved between horses down the backstretch then chased evenly and held fourth. OVERSTATEMENT saved ground off of the pace, checked mildly behind an injured rival entering upper stretch then moved up. SHOW OF FORCE pressed from the three path, vied outside of the leader down the backstretch then weakened between horses reaching the lane. PARACLETE raced off of the pace in the five to three path and between horses into the backstretch, fanned out to the six to seven path into the lane and stayed on mildly while trying to lug in. PNUTBUTTER WHISKEY pursued from midpack in the five path, crept into striking range among foes around the far turn, but got outkicked by outer rivals nearing the lane and yielded between horses. GIBRAN stalked in the four path, chased among foes around the far turn, but steadied while shuffling at the quarter pole and faded. BRODY prompted along the inside before backing off to stalk, but suffered an injury entering the lane, pulled up and was transported off of the track in an equine ambulance.
