PRINCE OF POWER was sent to the front, showed the way inside of a pressing rival, met that one's challenge rounding the far turn, shook free in upper stretch then held late. TAPIT SHOES pursued from midpack nearthe inside, then in the two path around the far turn, chased in the three path and between rivals nearing the lane, altered out to the five path while running on into the final sixteenth, rallied to offer a late bid but ran out of ground to reel in the leader. SMOKEY MANDATE stalked three wide, had aim outside of the top pair and from the four path in upper stretch, edged place at the sixteenth pole but got outkicked late. LINCOLN HIGHWAY took back from between rivals at the start, trailed along the inside, then in the three path around the far turn, swung out to the six path into upper stretch and moved up. BIG BLUE LINE pressed outside of the eventual winner, bid and vied turning for home, but was repelled in upper stretch and gave way. MCCULLOUGH raced off of the pace in the two path, saved ground around the far turn and failed to menace. HURRY HURRY pursued from the three path, came under urging in the four path rounding the far turn and tired.
