Footnotes
IMPULSIVE BID broke outwards and a step slow to begin, made a good move for positioning between foes in the two path midway down the backstretch, waited patiently for the cue to go measuring the lead pair while outside another in the second flight around the bend, pounced four wide lengthening stride at the top of the lane and determinedly wore down the leader in the late stages for the victory. JUSTINE had a clean start getting the lead inside another on the break, dictated the pace with company on the outside forcing the issue with a half mile still to run, edged clear again on the rail through the turn, increased the advantage two wide turning for home, dug in under encouragement to the wire but gave way grudgingly in the final few strides to a solid second under a good showing. SMOKIN EMPIRE was forced in by the stablemate on the break, improved on the rail quickly to sit inside rivals just off the frontrunner at the half, sat poised having the fence keeping a close eye on the lead duo through the turn while beside the eventual winner, shifted two wide in mid-stretch and finished up willingly to be a clear third at the wire. DELTA FORCE was reluctant going into the gate, veered out on the start on the break, moved up smartly four deep along the backstretch outside rivals, chased the frontrunner throughout the turn, shifted to the three path between foes in the mix at the top of the lane but evened out in the final furlong to hold for a minor role in the end. WILL WIN broke inwards and was quickly corrected at the start, lacked early foot seeing the field down the back straight, took the short way around the turn making little progression on the leaders, shifted just off the rail in the stretch run but showed little in the final furlong inside of horses. AUNTIE'S BAMBINO broke well to argue for the front end outside the leader in the beginning, could not hold forward position in the three path with a half mile still to run, regressed outside two wide on the turn to be at the back of the pack by the five sixteenths marker, moved to the four path for the drive to the wire but could not play a factor in the late running.
